Windows

Window gardens are a great way to dress up your exterior for the season.
Fill a standard box with some traditional mums for a classic look, or create a display of pumpkins, gourds and colorful kale in a steel bucket to affix along your window sill.
If you don't have a window box, play around with bundles of wheat or cornstalks to trim your windows for a festive look.

Fireplace Mantel

If any of your rooms have a fireplace, then chances are there is a mantel just begging to be decorated.
Play up this focal point with a garland of faux autumn leaves, fall-scented candles, a basket of fresh apples or a cluster of tiny pumpkins.
Catch the eye with rich golds and purples or stick with earth tones for a simple rustic feel.
Experiment with often overlooked elements of nature such as acorns, tree bark or dried berries to embrace the look and feel of fall.

Front Entry

A large front porch can display beautiful décor such as bales of hay or welcome signs painted on rustic barn wood.
Utilize porch steps for a pumpkin display and tie tall clusters of cornstalks to front columns with festive bows.
Hang flower baskets of fall blooms for a splash of color.
Dress your door with a wreath to tie together your style, whether it's simple burlap and sunflowers or ornate mesh ribbons and twinkle lights.

Landscaping

Post a cheerful scarecrow in your garden to extend your fall décor to all areas of your property.
.Line small pumpkins down your walkway or park a small decorative wheelbarrow overflowing with hay, flowers or other carefully arranged décor in your front yard.
Decorate a simple bench in your garden to serve as a beautiful autumn display as well as a functional spot to sit and enjoy the last of the mild weather.

Dining Table

A fall centerpiece can make a beautiful table for holiday gatherings or simple dinners with your family.
Fill a basket with colorful gourds and fresh flowers.
Make a homemade potpourri of fall scents for a beautiful and sweet smelling centerpiece.
Place tea light candles in an old lantern for soft mood lighting.

Autumn is a beautiful time of year to enhance your home from the inside out.
